Brighton and Hove Independent Mediation Service (BHIMS) offers a range of services, including community mediation, workplace mediation and training. Since our service began in 1993 our focus has been on empowering people to resolve conflicts within their communities.
UPDATE on Coronavirus (COVID-19) and support from the mediation service
During this difficult time, the priority for all of us at Brighton and Hove Independent Mediation Service is to keep everyone safe and do all we can to reduce the spread of the virus.
Current advice is to avoid all non-essential meetings and so we have currently suspended all home visits and mediation meetings. We will start arranging visits and meetings again as soon as we can do so safely.
In the meantime, we are still accepting referrals and providing telephone support to anyone who is referred to us.
During this stressful time and with everyone spending more time at home, a peaceful relationship with our neighbours is more important than ever.

Mediation is confidential, fast, effective and affordable. Our job is to help and encourage those in dispute to come up with their own solutions and agreements. We do not make judgments or tell people what to do.
